The craft of a clean move

Watch an experienced two-person crew for ten minutes and you'll see the choreography: one loads while one stages, the truck fills wall by wall like masonry, and nothing gets carried twice. Loading is a skill — heavy low, light high, soft against hard, straps at every layer. A well-packed trailer fits more in fewer trips and delivers everything in the condition it left.

The other craft is protection: floors runnered, banisters padded, mattresses bagged, and the couch through the stairwell at the angle that spares both the couch and the stairwell. The most expensive part of a bad move is never the labor — it's the damage.

The process

  1. Fill out the form — or text us photos of the job.
  2. We reach out with a quote as fast as possible.
  3. Choose a day for us to come over and get to work.
  4. Done. Crew, truck, and trailer handle the heavy lifting.

Why hourly puts you in control

Our core offer is a two-person crew at $115/hour with a two-hour minimum — truck, trailer, and local travel included. Hourly pricing rewards preparation, and that's a lever you hold:

  • Box everything before we arrive — loose items are the clock's best friend.
  • Stage boxes near the door, heaviest first.
  • Disassemble what you can: bed frames, table legs, mirror mounts.
  • Reserve parking as close to the entrance as possible.

Every one of those shaves minutes, and minutes are the unit you're buying. And there's the part nobody prices: you, not exhausted, on the first night in the new place.

What the pros never do

Never drag furniture across a floor — it walks on sliders or rides a dolly. Never stack heavy on soft. Never load a truck without strapping in layers, because the first hard brake reorganizes everything that isn't tied. Never wing it with pianos, safes, stone tops, or aquariums — those are specialty items that get their own plan and their own quote, and we'll tell you when yours qualifies.
