Learn · Transport

Between where a thing is and where it belongs, there's a truck-shaped gap. Transport is the single-item logistics service that closes it. This is how it works, why it exists, and what makes the difference between 'delivered' and 'delivered right.'

The craft of moving one thing well

Hauling one item sounds simple until you own the item. The craft is in protection and physics such as pads where the piece meets the trailer, straps that hold it against the direction of braking, weight positioned over the axle so the trailer tracks straight instead of swaying. A dresser that rides loose for thirty minutes arrives as a different dresser.

Then there's the doorway math. You measuring the piece, the entry, the stair turn, and the hallway before anything is lifted, because the worst place to discover a couch doesn't fit is halfway through the door frame. Trust us, we've been there already.

The process

  1. Fill out the form — or text us photos of the job.
  2. We reach out with a quote as fast as possible.
  3. Choose a day for us to come over and get to work.
  4. Done. Picked up at point A, delivered to point B.

Why this service exists

Ownership of big things changes far more often than trucks do. Marketplace finds, sold appliances, inherited furniture, a couch going to a kid's first apartment — every handoff needs a vehicle, equipment, and a second pair of hands. Renting a truck for one dresser makes no sense; asking a friend costs a favor and a Saturday.

There's a bigger picture too: reliable transport is what keeps the secondhand economy alive. Every piece that moves to a new home instead of a landfill is a deal that actually closed, money that stayed local, and a perfectly good item still doing its job.

What we watch for

The access nobody mentions. Third-floor walkups and gated complexes change the job — we ask first, so the quote survives contact with reality.

Weather and moisture. Upholstery and raw wood don't ride uncovered in bad weather.

Fragile geometry. Glass tops travel separated and padded; appliance doors get secured; drawers come out or get strapped shut. Rushing this step is how 'transport' becomes 'junk removal.'
